Sammy Shows ("we", "us") provides this website so parents and carers can save and revisit videos, books and topics. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Who we are

Sammy Shows is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact: info@sammyshows.com.

What we collect

• Account data — your email address, password (stored hashed), display name and optional avatar.
• Saved items — the videos, books and topics you choose to save.
• Sign-in data from Google — if you choose Google sign-in, we receive your name, email and profile picture.
• Waitlist — if you join our waiting list, your email address.
• Marketing preferences — whether you opted in to receive emails.
• Technical data — basic logs (IP address, browser) required to operate the service securely.

Why we use it (lawful bases)

• To run your account and save your favourites — performance of a contract.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — legitimate interests.
• To send marketing emails — only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember saves made before you create an account. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we share data with

We use trusted processors to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication) and our hosting provider. They process data on our instructions only. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Account and saved items are kept while your account is active. Delete your account any time by emailing us and we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we must retain it by law.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email info@sammyshows.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO at ico.org.uk).

Children

Sammy Shows is intended for parents and carers, not children. Please do not create an account on behalf of a child under 13.

We may update this notice. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
